Do you Smoke Pot and Cigarettes?
University of Virginia researchers are conducting a new investigational study of two medications (Aprepitant and Dronabinol) and its potential for reducing cravings for marijuana and nicotine.
You may be eligible to participate if you:
• Are 18-45 years old
• Smoke marijuana and cigarettes on a regular basis
• Plan to reside in the area for the next 2 months
• Meet other minimum health requirements
As part of the study, participants will be asked to stay for 5 days (4 nights) at our inpatient clinic in the UVa hospital. Participants will receive 5 days of medication. During this stay participants will complete several questionnaires and computerized tasks each day.
Participation is confidential and strictly voluntary. Study-related tests include blood, breath and urine tests.
Study medication, mental and physical exams are provided free of charge.
Compensation up to $345 Dollars.
